Sitting in the bleachers watching his first joust amidst thousands of other spectators, Jefferson had no idea that one day he would be given the opportunity to join the greatest (in his opinion) brotherhood of all time.
A veteran of North Carolina State University, the U.S. Navy, and the battleground of corporate management, Jefferson grew tired of simply being a spectator and decided to do something about it. Volunteering as a squire at the North Carolina Renaissance Faire, he worked with Bryan Beard and his knights. A true believer that humility comes before honor, the hopeful candidate was offered the chance to travel across the country and train with Bryan’s company. After several years of chasing the dream, Jefferson found himself called onto the field for his first joust to the death! Having earned his spurs in 2003 at his home fair in North Carolina, Jefferson considers it an honor to represent Noble Cause Productions both on and off the field.
The concepts of chivalry and knighthood are cornerstones of Jefferson’s life. When not performing, he can be found addressing school and church groups about the true meaning of chivalry and how it is a vital concept for today’s generation. Although he may sound like a Dudley Do-Right, Jefferson assures us that he secretly thrives on playing a bad guy (Just ask anyone who witnessed his transformation as the evil Templar Grand Master in Ivanhoe!)
When not jousting, Jefferson maintains his secret identity as a field service engineer in Charlotte, NC with his beautiful wife and five squires.
