Rick
is a police officer by day and a raving jouster by night.
He
became an officer of the law way back in 1979 as a patrol driver.
Then, in 1989, he transferred to the motorcycle division and has
been riding ever since. When not on a motorcycle, Rick is on Horse
Patrol (figures).
Rick
started his career in performing by fencing at Redlands Fencing
Center in Oklahoma City. There he met some interesting people that
offered him a spot in the Royal Court of the Norman Faire in 1994-1995.
Rick also co-founded a group called Glengarries Fine Arts Recreationists
in 1996 with some friends he met while preforming in Norman.
In
May 1997, the Glengarries performed in Muskogee and there he met
Bryan. After he saw the jousting show, Rick was hooked and started
jousting with Bryan that same year.
Rick
is also an expert maker of chainmail and leather goods. He would
be more than happy to show you some of his excellent work.
And
as for Sir Richard Earl of Staton, no one knows for certain if Sir
Richard stole his title or if he was granted it...
