Russell Benson

Sir James of Leeds

Jouster

Russell started his love for performing in 1988 with a local Oklahoma group called Arthurian Order of Avalon. With the AOA, Russell honed his acting skills, choreographed combat, and his love for jousting. Afterwards, he helped co-found a performing group called Lionheart with some friends from the AOA.

Russell met Bryan and the gang while he and some members from Lionheart were auditioning for a human chessmatch in Stroud, Oklahoma. This was his first performance with Noble Cause. He has squired and performed choreographed swordfighting for Noble Cause ever since.

Russell earned his spurs at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, 2001. He rides in the colours of Yellow and Black.

When he is not jousting, Russell is usually in front of his computer working endlessly (non-stop 24 hours a day.... right Bryan?) on the Noble Cause Web site.

He is the Vice President of Creative Services at a new media company and has an unhealthy obsession for painting little metal men (donšt ask). He is also a professional illustrator, avid poet, movie-aholic, video game guru, and a big fan of the Pug breed!
